Our first program

Hardship relief after the gift.

Life can change years after donation. Our first grant program is designed to help verified non-directed living donors facing a documented, urgent hardship.

Who this is for

Focused eligibility at launch.

Initial awards are intended for verified non-directed living organ donors—people who donated without naming or choosing their recipient and who may never meet the person whose life they changed. This gives a new organization a focused place to begin while resources are limited.

As funding grows, eligibility and services may expand based on donor needs and sustainable program criteria. Every living donation is extraordinary, and all living donors are welcome to register, connect, and help shape what Life4Donors builds next.

Examples may include housing, essential utilities, food, transportation, uncovered health expenses, or short-term help during an employment or caregiving crisis.

A request begins with:

  • A completed Life4Donors registration
  • Non-directed living donor status
  • A post-donation hardship that can be documented
  • Consent to verification and objective review
  • Available charitable funds

How review works

A fair process, not a promise.

01

Tell us what changed

Share the immediate situation and the practical expense a grant could address.

02

We verify privately

Staff will confirm donor status and may request documents through a separate process.

03

Objective review

Requests are considered against written criteria including severity, urgency, the financial gap, other available resources, and whether help is likely to stabilize the immediate need.

04

Clear follow-up

You’ll receive next steps or a decision after the initial review.

Important boundaries

Life4Donors does not pay for, reward, or induce organ donation. Assistance is post-donation, need-based, and never guaranteed. Decisions are not based on organ type, recipient, or transplant outcome. This form is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger or facing a medical emergency, contact local emergency services.

The application opens after we confirm your registration. Not registered yet? Create your donor profile first.
